The ball has dropped, the ornaments stored away, and the last of the pine needles have been swept up for the season. It’s officially January and I have to say, as excited as I am for a new year, I'm not sure I’m ready to get out of the fog that is the last two weeks of December and live in reality again.
Here are a few things I’m doing to my home to keep it cozy (sans holiday decor) to soften the blow of our Holiday break coming to a close:
-
Slowly bring decor back into each space to reevaluate where I want everything to go or if I even still want it at all.
-
Rearranging furniture, or at least considering it. Before everything is back where it was before Christmas, try moving your furniture around to see if there is a layout you like better!
-
Assessing our lighting. I love the glow of Christmas lights on the tree, should I add a lamp or two to our living room to give it a similar cozy feel?
-
Putting away: anything holiday-specific. Keeping out: anything cozy with winter vibes. Goodbye Christmas trees, hello snow globes! So long Nutcrackers, stay a little longer white sherpa throw blanket
-
I’m swapping out Holiday Playlists with cozy ones (I love Hipster Cocktail Radio & Piano Pop Music)
